With the 5th wave of COVID-19, Hong Kong primary and secondary schools have gone back to online learning. In order to continue helping our community, Read For All (HK) is offering FREE Zoom extra help sessions for students to ask questions about their homework assignments or classwork. The subjects we are providing assistance with are in Math and English.

BEYOND THE SCREEN (FILM)
超越屏幕 （電影）
What was so special about the golden age of Hong Kong? How did Hong Kong films have such a large impact in the world, and what has happened to it now? Through this summer course, students will dive into HK cinema, learn about the actors, actresses, and directors that have made up an unforgettable era. They will analyze films, dissect how they were able to spread Chinese culture across the globe, ponder the reason behind the decline in Hong Kong cinema, and most importantly, understand why film is such an important aspect of our society.
BEYOND THE BOOKS (ENGLISH LITERATURE)
超越文學（英語）
This fun and creative summer course will allow students to go out of their comfort zone and explore different forms of text and enhance their vocabulary. Students will dive into the novel The Odyssey by Homer, understand the structure of The Hero's Journey through comics and detailed text analysis. They will also study greek tragedies, more specifically Sophocles's famous Antigone. Through careful analysis, they will understand how characters develop, plots unfold, how literature can impact our society, and share a piece of history. By the end of this course, students will be able to use The Hero's Journey and write their own story and greek tragedy play!
BEYOND THE SCIENCE (PHYSICS)
超越科學（物理）
This physics course will challenge students in a fun and creative manner! Through innovative take-home experiments, students will learn how to relate Newton's fundamental laws of physics with our everyday world, derive complex formulas, and understand important fundamental concepts such as the relationship between potential energy and kinetic energy, momentum and impulse, and much more! Furthermore, they will learn how to write clear, concise, and informative lab reports through watching online experiments and by the end, be able to create their own experiments themselves!
